Medical Nutrition Therapy
Medical Nutrition Therapy is a style of treatment where modification of diet and lifestyle are used therapeutically to help individuals struggling with certain medical and behavioral health conditions. It is also used to help those preventatively who are at risk for common health conditions such as heart disease that may run in ones family.
This therapy is provided by a board-certified Registered Dietitian licensed in your state to practice evidence-based nutrition care. Your Registered Dietitian holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition Science and has over a decade of experience working 1:1 with thousands of clients.
Does insurance cover the cost? Many insurance companies will cover medical nutrition therapy. We partner with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Medicare and United Health Care who may cover up to 100% of the cost of your treatment. Please check with your carrier to verify coverage. Your plan may require you to have a specific diagnosis or you may be able to seek treatment for preventative care.
